The DFW Trampoline Experts

SAFETY INFORMATION

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has published safety guidelines regarding the proper use of trampolines. As an owner or user of a trampoline, it is important to understand and follow these recommendations at all times to reduce the risk of injury.

Common Causes of Trampoline Injuries

Injuries and fatalities can result from:

  • Colliding with another person while on the trampoline

  • Landing improperly while jumping or performing stunts

  • Falling or jumping off the trampoline

  • Contact with the springs or frame

Safety Guidelines

To help prevent serious injuries such as paralysis, fractures, sprains, and bruises, follow these important safety precautions:

  • Allow only one person on the trampoline at a time

  • Do not attempt somersaults. Landing on the head or neck can cause severe injury or paralysis

  • Always use proper shock-absorbing padding that fully covers springs, hooks, and the frame

  • Position the trampoline away from structures, trees, fences, and other hazards

  • Children under 6 years of age should not use full-size trampolines

  • Do not use ladders that provide unsupervised access for small children

  • Always supervise children during use

  • Use a properly installed safety enclosure to help reduce the risk of falls
